Sepahijala police launch initiative to curb vehicle accidents at Bishalgarh

Agartala, 13th December 2024:   In an effort to control the rising number of vehicle accidents in Bishalgarh subdivision, Sepahijala district, the district police administration took proactive measures by organizing a special rally on Friday morning. The rally commenced from the Bishalgarh Town Girls Class XII School ground.

District Superintendent of Police BJ Reddy along with Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dulal Datta led the initiative by placing helmets on the heads of several bikers in front of the Bishalgarh police station main gate. Notably, Sepahijala district ranks first in vehicle accidents across Tripura, prompting this dedicated effort by the police administration.

Following the rally, the main program was held at the new town hall of the Bishalgarh office. District Superintendent of Police BJ Reddy addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of road safety and measures to reduce accidents.

District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal along with other officials was present at the event. Dr. Jaiswal discussed various strategies to prevent accidents and enhance road safety in the district. The initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the residents by addressing the critical issue of vehicle accidents.
