Agartala, 23rd April 2024: In the precincts of East Tripura’s Jolaibari assembly constituency, the electoral machinery is in full swing as service voters participate in the ballot casting process ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha election slated for April 26.
The electoral exercise, conducted via traditional ballot papers, commenced on Sunday, with 543 eligible voters engaged in the democratic process within Jolaibari assembly constituency. As of 12:40 PM, Santirbazar’s SDM Abedananda Baidya reported that 456 individuals had exercised their voting rights.
Preparations for the impending April 26 elections are underway, with the district administration diligently overseeing the electoral proceedings. SDM Baidya affirmed the administration’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and orderly polling process, emphasizing the importance of completing the electoral exercise within the stipulated timeframe.
Amidst the bustling activity, voters exhibited enthusiasm, queuing up patiently at Santirbazar Class XII School to cast their ballots. The atmosphere resonated with a sense of celebration as citizens actively participated in shaping the democratic future of their constituency.
