Agartala, 2nd October 2026 : Tripura is set to observe the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ and ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ across all districts on October 7 as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said on Friday.
The programmes will be organised across the country to commemorate 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service, with similar initiatives scheduled in every district of Tripura.
Chowdhury made the announcement after attending an organisational meeting at the state party headquarters, where preparations for the upcoming programmes were discussed in detail. The meeting focused on ensuring proper coordination and the smooth, disciplined and successful conduct of the yatras across the state.
Highlighting the significance of the initiatives, the minister said the programmes seek to further strengthen the spirit of public service and take the message of service and social commitment to people from different sections of society.
He also expressed confidence that the upcoming yatras would help broaden public outreach and encourage greater participation in activities centred on service to society.
The state-level organisational machinery has been directed to make necessary arrangements so that the programmes are conducted effectively across all districts on October 7.
