Seven-month-old child died without treatment at IGM

Agartala: April 05. A serious allegation has raised against a section of doctors, nurses working in IGM hospital after a seven-month-old baby died without treatment at the Hospital on Wednesday.

One Prashanta Das who is a resident of South Nalchar has alleged that the child was suffering from fever and cough for several days but the hospital authority of IGM didn’t treat the child properly and due to alleged negligence the child die.

They have said that after the child fell ill, they rushed him to Tripura Medical College hospital for treatment. But as the child’s physical condition did not change, the parents took the child to Melaghar Hospital. Later, seeing the deterioration of the child’s physical condition, the doctor on duty referred him from Melaghar Hospital to IGM Hospital with oxygen in the morning.

The family members of the deceased child allege that after bringing the baby to IGM hospital, the doctor did not even touch the baby.

“The doctors didn’t even touch out child. When we came at the hospital the doctors and nurses have declared it brought dead from a distance”, the family members alleged.

The family members of the child also complained that the child performed natural functions even after the doctor declared the child dead then how the doctor declared dead.

Therefore, the family members of the deceased child expressed strong anger at the role of the doctor. The child’s mother burst into tears.

She demanded strict punishment against the doctors on duty in the IGM hospital. Later, the child’s body was sent to the morgue for post-mortem. A shadow of grief descends on the family members.
