Agartala, 28th November 2025: The Tripura State Committee of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) today submitted a deputation to the Director of the OBC Welfare Department, demanding immediate disbursement of pending scholarships for OBC students for the academic year 2024–25.
SFI leaders stated that thousands of OBC students have been facing severe difficulties due to prolonged delays in receiving scholarship funds. They argued that the non-payment has disrupted both academic pursuits and daily life, pushing many students into uncertainty.
Through the deputation, the SFI accused the department of negligence, stressing that the delay has jeopardized the future of numerous students. The organization urged the authorities to take swift action to resolve the issue.
Several representatives of the SFI State Committee were present during the deputation. The department accepted the memorandum and assured that the matter would be taken into consideration, according to SFI leaders.
