Agartala, August 22, 2022: The Shishu Bihar Alumni Association is going to organize an inter-school debate competition named ‘VIPRALAPTA’ on August 25 next at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan’s hall number II at 10 AM. This year marks the eighth year of ‘VIPRALAPTA’.
For the past 7 years, ‘VIPRALAPTA’ has earned the reputation of being one of the most popular debate competitions in the state. Many geniuses have graced the judge’s seat over the years. This year also 3 prominent personalities of the state will be in the role of judge. One is a legal personality, one is a news personality and another is a distinguished academic, said Association’s secretary Abhijit Samajpati while speaking to media persons at Agartala Press Club on Monday evening.
He said that the Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath has consented to attend this year’s ‘VIPRALAPTA’ as the chief guest and Advocate General Siddharth Shankar Roy has consented to be present as guest of honour.
On the day of debate competition i.e. August 25, there will be quiz competition and attractive prizes for the audience. Online essay competition was also organized with the theme “It is not only the responsibility of the government to make a city smart” and online riddle and quiz competition was also conducted by Shishu Bihar Alumni which also received significant response. The winners of these two competitions will also be awarded on the day.
‘VIPRALAPTA’ Convener Chirantan Das discussed the debate competition process in detail. Advisory committee member of Shishu Bihar Alumni Association Dr Sajal Nath and other members were present in the press conference. This year 42 students from 21 schools are participating in the debate competition which broke the record of last 7 years.
