Agartala, September 13, 2022: Acting on a tip-off, Sidhai police station staff led by Mohanpur SDPO Kamal Bikash Majumder seized 125 kilograms of dry cannabis in a raid at the house in Gopalnagar area under Mohanpur assembly constituency on Tuesday morning. The accused house owner name is Ratan Deb.
A specific case has been registered with Sidhai police station with the arrest of Ratan Deb. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Kamal Bikash Majumdar, Sidhai Police Station OC Jayanta Malakar and other forces personnel were in the operation. OC Jayanta Malakar said that the current market price of dry cannabis is above Rs 6 lakh. The dried cannabis is in Sidhai police station. The OC Malakar said that the accused Ratan Deb has been sent to the court seeking a 5-day remand.
