Agartala, 13th October 2026 : Ahead of the autumn festival, Shankari Roy, wife of Minister Tinku Roy, distributed clothes and exchanged Sharadiya greetings with residents of Goldharpur at a programme held at Tilakpur Radhakrishna Mandap in Ward No. 4. Mandal President Pintu Ghosh and other dignitaries were present.
As Minister Tinku Roy was in Agartala for official work, his wife conveyed festive greetings to the residents on behalf of the family. She said the initiative aimed to connect with local people, enquire about their well-being and share the joy of the festival. She also invited everyone to receive prasad daily during the Durga Puja organised at their residence in the Chandipur Assembly constituency.
Since his election from Chandipur in 2023, Minister Tinku Roy has been organising annual clothing distribution programmes across the constituency, including tea garden areas. Around 10,000 families received clothes last year. This year, Tinku Roy and his wife have been conducting similar programmes at various locations across the constituency over the past four to five days ahead of Durga Puja.
