Agartala, 22nd July 2024:  New students at Kabi Nazrul Mahavidyalaya in Sonamura have expressed dissatisfaction with the college’s decision to impose specific subjects for the upcoming semester. Many newcomers are unhappy with the mandatory subject selection, claiming they were not informed about these requirements prior to admission.

Students have voiced concerns that they were unaware of the subjects imposed by the college until they arrived. The college had previously announced that students would only be allowed to enroll in the subjects prescribed by the authorities. This policy has led to significant frustration among the student body.

In response to the decision, students staged a sit-in protest on the college campus. Former student leader Akhter Hossain intervened and reported that the college authorities have pledged to address the issue by consulting with higher officials.

The Acting Principal of the college has confirmed that discussions with higher authorities will be conducted to resolve the matter.
