Agartala, 6th July 2025: A dispute over loud music during a local religious celebration spiraled into violence late last night leaving one man injured in the Bhati Larma Chikonchhara area under Bishalgarh police station.
According to local sources, a Bipadnashini Puja was being held at the residence of one Sudarshan Nama, where loudspeakers reportedly continued blaring music well past midnight. The prolonged noise prompted a complaint from neighbor Badal Nama, who visited Sudarshan’s residence requesting the volume be lowered.
However, things took a violent turn when Sudarshan, along with Sajal Nama, Madhu Nama and Akash Nama allegedly launched a coordinated attack on Badal. He sustained injuries in the altercation.
Following the incident, Badal Nama accompanied by concerned locals filed a formal complaint at Bishalgarh Police Station.
