Agartala, 4th August 2025: A dispute over loud music during a religious ceremony escalated into a violent confrontation between two families last night leaving three individuals seriously injured at Baldakhal, Chandrapur area. The incident took place at Rashmi Ghosh’s residence during a Bipodnashini Puja celebration and has resulted in a formal complaint filed at East Agartala Women’s Police Station.
According to eyewitnesses and local sources, the clash erupted around 9 p.m. when neighbors objected to the volume of the sound system being used at the puja venue. Although the hosts reportedly reduced the volume following the initial complaint, tensions flared when the objecting neighbors allegedly returned with sharp weapons and attacked the gathering.
Three people sustained serious injuries while trying to intervene. Police have registered a case with the names of the alleged attackers and have launched a formal investigation into the incident.
