Agartala, 4th September 2026 : Sri Mayapur Chandra Mandir (Sri Sri Hare Krishna Namahatta Centre), near GB Bazar, was formally inaugurated on Friday on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami amid religious fervour and the presence of devotees, local residents and distinguished guests.
The inauguration ceremony featured a traditional Nrisimha Yajna, while the surrounding areas of GB Bazar, Jagatpur and adjoining localities reverberated with Harinam Sankirtan and devotional activities.
The temple’s inauguration on the sacred occasion of Janmashtami created an atmosphere of joy and spiritual enthusiasm among devotees and residents. Local residents and guardians expressed hope that the new temple would develop into not only a centre of worship but also a platform for social and cultural activities.
