Organized by the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT)*, the event brought together 60 distinguished Tripurans from across India and abroad. Held at the Chief Minister’s War Room, the summit signified a milestone in fostering collaboration between the state and its expatriate community.

In his inaugural address, Kiran Gitte emphasized the summit’s significance, likening it to Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, which celebrates Mahatma Gandhi’s return to India. He remarked, “The Expatriate Tripurabashi Summit-2025 is a platform to showcase Tripura’s rich cultural heritage and engage with the global Tripuran community to drive the state’s development forward.”

Gitte also presented a comprehensive overview of Tripura’s progress in key sectors, including healthcare, education, tourism, and industrial development.

Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee, OSD to the Chief Minister, reiterated the state government’s dedication to maintaining close connections with the expatriate community. “The contributions of Tripurans living abroad play a vital role in promoting our state’s identity on the global stage,” he said.

The summit featured insights from several prominent speakers, including Biswasree B, Director of Industries and Commerce, and Mohammad Sajad P, Director of Skill Development, who highlighted collaboration opportunities in their respective fields.

This landmark summit underscored the state government’s vision of harnessing the knowledge, expertise, and goodwill of its global diaspora to propel Tripura’s journey of progress and prosperity.
