State-level Shastriya competition inaugurated at Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus

Agartala, 15th January 2026:  State Level Shastriya Competition was successfully inaugurated today at Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Lembucherra from 10:30 am onwards which is to be continued up to tomorrow. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various Shastras.

The inaugural programme was organized under the auspicious presence of Dr. Suman K.S., Associate Professor, Tripura Central University, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was presided over by Prof. Makhlesh Kumar, Director of the Ekalavya Campus.

The Shastriya competition aimed at promoting classical Sanskrit learning and encouraging students to showcase their talent in Shastriya subjects.

In his address, Dr. Suman K.S. appreciated the efforts of the organizers and emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting India’s rich Sanskrit heritage. Prof. Makhlesh Kumar, in his presidential remarks, encouraged students to continue their dedication towards Sanskrit studies and highlighted the role of such competitions in nurturing academic excellence.

The inaugural event concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Nagpati Hegde, faculty of Vyakarana. The anchoring of the event was done by Loknath Panda, Faculty of Vedanta.
