Agartala, 17th November 2026:   The three-day state-level training workshop on the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0 wrapped up in Agartala on Saturday, bringing together Block Program Managers from across Tripura to strengthen strategies for rural skill development.

The workshop, held from January 15 to 17, focused on enhancing grassroots implementation of the flagship scheme aimed at empowering rural youth through sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Addressing participants, Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, CEO of Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), urged managers to carry forward the program with “full energy and enthusiasm,” underlining the importance of effective execution at the block level. “The program is expected to pave the way for more structured and impactful skill development initiatives across the state, aligning with the government’s vision of empowering rural communities,” Chakma said.

Sessions were led by Dr. Anish K R, National Resource Person, Ministry of Rural Development, who shared operational guidelines, best practices, and innovative approaches to training under DDU-GKY 2.0.

Officials noted that the workshop provided a common platform for all blocks, fostering collaboration and clarity on the scheme’s objectives, and setting the stage for more coordinated efforts in rural skill development across Tripura.
