Agartala, 29th January 2026: A state-level workshop on “Professional Management in Veterinary, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy Sectors” was held on Thursday at Pragya Bhavan, Agartala.
The workshop was seen as a significant step toward enhancing professional skills and promoting modern management practices in the veterinary and allied sectors.
The event was inaugurated by Deepa D. Nair, Secretary of the Department of Animal Resource Development and Fisheries & Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
Also in attendance were N. K. Chanchal, Director of ARDD, and Bimal Krishna Das, Additional Director and President of the Tripura Veterinary Council.
In her inaugural address, Deepa D. Nair urged the state’s veterinarians to actively adopt professional management practices to ensure the health and well-being of animals. She highlighted the Tripura Government’s firm commitment to achieving rural prosperity through scientific, skilled, and cost-effective initiatives, with veterinarians playing a key role.
The Secretary further emphasized the growing and crucial contribution of veterinarians in strengthening animal husbandry, dairy, and allied value chains across the state.
