State to celebrate ‘Bijli Mahotsav’ to highlight the key achievements of Power Dept

Agartala: July 25. Government of Tripura and Tripura state electricity corporation limited (TSECL) in association with the Ministry of Power is going to celebrate the ‘Bijli mahotsavs’ in Tripura under the umbrella of “Ujjwall Bharat Ujjwal Bhavisya- power @2047 as part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to celebrate the 75 years of India’s independence.

‘Bijli Mahotsav’ will be used as platform to celebrate the collaboration between the state and the central government’s and will highlight the key achievements of the power sector of India.

It will celebrated all over the country for more public participation. In Tripura, it will be celebrated in sixteen locations spread over eight districts from today till 30th July, 2022 in presence of many dignitaries ensuring all the covid safety protocols.

Each district level programme will be of 90 minutes duration and the programme would include Beneficiary Testimonials on Electrification Scheme, Film on universal household Electrification (REC); Village Electrification (REC); Distribution System Strengthening (PFC); Capicity Addition (NTPC); One Nation One Grid (PGCIL); Renewable Energy (SECI); Tripura Renewable Energy Development (TRERA); Consumer Rights (PFC), Nukkad Natak performance on the themes of Energy conservation and Household electrification, cultural performance.

Celebration of ‘Bijli Mahotsavs’ will be concluded with the Grand Finale event which will be held in hybrid mode across 100 locations of the country; of which two locations will be from Tripura namely, Dhalai and West district.

During the Grand Finale event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the beneficiaries of the schemes such as Saubhagya, DDUGJY and IPDS etc.
