Agartala, 2nd July 2025: Frustration continues to mount among job aspirants who appeared for the 2022 Selection Test for Graduate Teachers (STGT), as they staged a fresh protest outside the Shiksha Bhavan this morning. The demonstrators comprising young men and women submitted a deputation to the Director of Education demanding the immediate publication of the STGT results and swift completion of the recruitment process.
With folded hands and tearful pleas, the candidates also appealed directly to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, expressing anguish over the prolonged delay. According to the protesters, nearly four years have passed since the examination was conducted, yet the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) has not released the results or initiated the hiring process.
The aspirants voiced concern that while results for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) have already been published, the STGT outcome remains in limbo. Many fear that continued delays could render them ineligible due to age restrictions, further compounding their distress.
Despite repeated appeals to senior officials and ministers over the past several months, the candidates allege that no concrete steps have been taken to address their grievances. Monday’s protest marks yet another chapter in their ongoing struggle for transparency and timely recruitment.
