STGT qualified teachers meets Education minister

Agartala, October 22, 2022: Selection Test For Graduate Teachers qualified teachers today met with the Education minister Ratan Lal Nath here at his residence on Saturday morning.

The qualified teachers demanded for recruitment. Nath assured them that the file will be processed to the Finance department very shortly and decision of recruitment will be initiated soon.

Currently, more than 5,500 posts are lying vacant as every year as a good number of teachers are also retiring, said one of the qualified teachers.

Earlier, they met with Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma to seek recruitment for all the qualified candidates at one go. The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the aspiring teachers and told them he would certainly look after their issues. After the assurance the STGT qualified candidates expressed that they were satisfied with the reply of the Deputy CM.

The qualified teachers also met with the ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury and said “Our demand was to recruit all the STGT qualified candidates together as the government has created 10,180 posts and 3,852 aspirants were recruited while 6,328 are still lying vacant.”
