During the operation, police recovered stolen cash amounting to ₹1.91 lakh, an ATM card, and related documents. The raid was carried out at the residence of Hossain Ahmed (alias Jasim Uddin), 27, son of Md. Zamir Uddin, in Ward No. 2 of Shanichhara Gram Panchayat, Shimultila area.

According to sources, Mizoram’s Kanmun Police had received a tip-off that the accused was hiding in the locality. However, sensing police presence, the suspect managed to flee before the search.

Investigators revealed that the accused had allegedly stolen cash and an ATM card with its password from a house in Kanmun, Mizoram. He later used the card to withdraw money. The joint raid was conducted based on a written complaint filed in Mizoram.
