Agartala, 21st October 2025:  Students of Ramrai Bari High School staged a road blockade yesterday morning protesting the recent transfer of a key teacher amid ongoing staff shortages. The demonstration took place on the Jolaibari–Hrishyamukh Road, severely disrupting traffic for several hours.

Students informed that the school has been grappling with a chronic shortage of teachers across multiple subjects, leaving them deprived of regular academic instruction. The transfer of a vital faculty member has further aggravated the situation, prompting concerns over their academic future. Frustrated by the lack of response from authorities, the students took to the streets to voice their demands.

The blockade led to significant traffic congestion, with school buses, passenger vehicles, and other commuters stranded for hours. Police and local administration officials arrived at the scene to manage the situation.

Students alleged that repeated appeals to the school management and the district education department had gone unanswered. They claimed that no assurance was given regarding the teacher’s reinstatement or any alternative arrangements.

The protest was eventually lifted following administrative intervention, but students warned that they would escalate their agitation if their demands remained unmet.
