Agartala, February 09: A district-level environmental model exhibition was held at Chandrapur Higher Secondary School, Dharmanagar on Friday, under the initiative of the State Environment Department. The exhibition aimed to raise awareness among students and society about the importance of protecting the environment and providing a clean and stable future.
The exhibition was inaugurated by District Education Officer Sukhmoy Nath, who was accompanied by other officials from the District Magistrate’s office and the State Environment Department. Dilip Kumar Roy, assistant headmaster of Chandrapur Higher Secondary School, said that the public representatives could not attend the event due to their political engagements ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Students from various schools displayed their innovative models on topics such as waste management, renewable energy, biodiversity conservation, climate change, and water harvesting. The exhibition was appreciated by the guests and the teachers, who praised the students for their creativity and environmental awareness.
