Agartala, December 13: In a surprising turn of events, Sudhangshu Das, the Minister of SC Welfare department, expressed astonishment at the blatant neglect of duties by workers during his visit to Adwaita Malla Barman guest house at office lane here.
The minister, visibly perturbed by the dire state of affairs, personally intervened by confiscating a bottle of liquor during a raid on the government guest house.
Minister Das, who initially intended to inspect the guest house’s management, was appalled to find the establishment in deplorable conditions. From the living quarters to the restroom facilities, the entire inn was observed to be in an unsanitary state, showcasing an extreme disregard for the responsibilities of the staff.
During his visit, Minister Das issued a stern warning to the negligent workers, emphasizing that the government would take appropriate measures if adequate services were not provided to incoming guests.
In an effort to rectify the situation, he imposed a one-week deadline for the comprehensive cleaning of the hotel. The minister emphasized the urgency of addressing the concerns promptly to ensure a hospitable environment for future guests.
