Agartala, 3rd November 2024: Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman today appealed to everyone to join together in the fight against crimes targeting women. Roy Barman made this appeal while attending the Bhai Phonta celebration at his official quarters today.
“We stand with our sisters. On this day, we want to emphasize that crimes against women, occurring across the country and in our state, should not continue in the coming days. We assure that wherever women face threats or attacks, we will stand by them. Our sisters and women members in the party will also support them.
Today, I pray to God for the safety and bright future of our sisters and women,” he said. He added that the situation in the country is similar to that in Tripura. “Every day, such incidents are happening, and women are coming under attack. People must come together and protest against these incidents,” he stated.
