Suryamaninagar Mahila Morcha plans mega women’s conference on Sept 06

Agartala, 8th August 2026:    A major organizational meeting of the 18-Suryamaninagar Mahila Morcha Mandal was held with the participation of around 300 women leaders and activists from booth, panchayat and ward committees.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Speaker and Suryamaninagar MLA Ram Prasad Paul stressed the importance of women’s participation in strengthening the organization and maintaining close contact with the people. He said women’s power is one of the primary driving forces of the organization and urged Mahila Morcha workers to actively communicate the government’s welfare schemes and development initiatives to the public.

The meeting discussed several organizational issues, including strengthening the party network from booth to Mandal level and increasing the participation of women activists in public outreach activities.

A key decision was taken to organize a grand women’s conference on September 6, 2026, under the initiative of the 18-Suryamaninagar Mahila Morcha Mandal. Around 15,000 women activists are expected to participate in the proposed conference.

Paul called for preparations to begin immediately at every organizational level to make the event a major success. He said united women’s leadership would help further strengthen the organization in Suryamaninagar and reinforce its commitment to serving the people.

He also urged the women activists to work collectively towards building a stronger society and a prosperous Tripura.
