Agartala, 7th September 2025 :   Tripura Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today alleged that the CPI(M), with support from Congress, has historically spread misinformation and political conspiracies to confuse people and destabilize governance.

Speaking at a large gathering in his Majlishpur Assembly Constituency in West Tripura, Chowdhury said, “The CPI(M) has always depended on propaganda and conspiracies, often aided by Congress. In previous elections, Congress workers were attacked or displaced under their regime. Now, ahead of the elections, they are again circulating rumors about the current government’s stability.”

He announced that the BJP plans to organize a mass rally to protest what he called the “dirty politics and propaganda” of the CPI(M) and Congress. “We are prepared to confront this propaganda. People are with us. I focus on performance, delivery, and work rather than personal attacks, and that is how we will approach the elections,” Chowdhury added.

Chowdhury emphasized that since the BJP came to power in 2018, Tripura has not witnessed any political violence or murders. “We prioritize democracy, development-oriented politics, and staying connected with the people. BJP is a disciplined party with a difference,” he stated.
