Agartala, 2nd September 2025: Bodhjungnagar witnessed a noble gesture today as the Tripura Industry Owners’ Association celebrated its 9th foundation day with a voluntary blood donation camp, along with free health and eye check-ups for the local people.
The camp was inaugurated by Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, who described blood donation as “the noblest gift in human life” and appealed to people to come forward to save lives. The Minister also handed over certificates of academic excellence to children of industrial workers for their achievements in secondary and higher secondary examinations.
Highlighting the importance of such initiatives, Chowdhury said that voluntary blood donation and health services not only serve humanitarian purposes but also strengthen social unity. He appreciated the active participation of citizens and thanked the organizers and donors for their contribution.
Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC) Chairman Nabadal Banik, present at the programme, hailed the efforts of the association, calling the event an ideal example of blending industrial growth with social responsibility.
