Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurates Jirania Sub-Divisional Public Library at Ranirbazar

Agartala, April 30, 2023: MLA of Majlishpur assembly constituency and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Sunday inaugurated Jirania Sub-Divisional Public Library at Ranirbazar and dedicated it to the people of the area by auspiciously inaugurating this Public Library.

After inaugurating the library, Chowdhury said that from now on, local people will get the opportunity to read various books including newspapers in this public library. A variety of timely informational books are also available in this library. Readers will get Bengali, Kokborok and English language books here.

He also said that the current young generation has become addicted to mobile phones and has made a lot of distance from regular newspaper reading and books! That is why there was a need for this public library in Jirania sub-division to sustain the habit of reading books and magazines. From daily life to useful information for people of all ages, books can be found here in this public library.

Tourism minister expressed hope that this public library will become more prosperous in the near future and will be useful to all with the cooperation of the public.

Jirania Nagar Panchayat Chairman Ratan Das, Ranirbazar Municipal Council vice-chairman Prabir Kumar Das and other prominent persons were present in this event today.
