Agartala, 17th November 2023: Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury graced the meeting and mandal empowerment training class program organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha State Executive Committee of Tripura Pradesh. The event, held on Friday at a private hotel in the capital Agartala, saw Minister Chowdhury actively participating in discussions about various youth employment projects initiated by the Modi government over the past nine years.
During his address, Minister Chowdhury emphasized the crucial role of youth as the pillar of the nation, noting that approximately 65 percent of India’s population is aged 35 or below. He highlighted the government’s commitment to youth development and detailed several schemes aimed at empowering the younger generation. Chowdhury expressed confidence that the energetic and dynamic youth would lead the country to new heights of development in the future.
Reflecting on the political shift in 2018, Minister Chowdhury praised the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha for their leadership in creating positive change after 25 years of Left misrule. He underscored the importance of cultivating patriotic youth with strong moral standards to meet the nation’s expectations.
The minister also addressed the challenges faced during the Left’s prolonged rule, including corruption, nepotism, factionalism, and coercion. He credited the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha for liberating Tripura from the “stone misrule” of the communists through the courageous role played by the youth in the 2018 assembly elections.
Highlighting the significance of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s journey, Minister Chowdhury described it as a conquest of darkness with the torch of light, countering the self-interested actions of the communists. He expressed hope and belief that the organization would contribute to the reconstruction of a better Tripura, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Sath—Sabka Vikas—Sabka Biswas—Sabka Prayas.’
The minister concluded by expressing gratitude to all the officials and attendees of the program, extending best wishes for a bright future. The event commenced with Minister Sushant Chowdhury being welcomed by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Pradesh President Nabadal Banik with traditional Northerners and books.
