Sushanta Chowdhury takes measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential commodities during monsoon season

Agartala, June 21, 2023: The Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Sushanta Chowdhury, led a significant meeting on Wednesday with representatives from various markets in Agartala city. The objective of the meeting was to guarantee an abundant supply of essential commodities and maintain affordable prices.

Chowdhury took to social media to highlight the efforts of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs department in ensuring uninterrupted provision of essential commodities throughout the state during the monsoon season.

“To prevent any scarcity of food during the monsoon season, the business committee, bazar committee, Chairperson, Secretary, and representatives from retail, wholesale, and other relevant officials of Agartala’s different markets gathered today at the Secretariat under the initiative of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs,” stated Chowdhury.

Additionally, Chowdhury chaired an important meeting to ensure the availability of essential commodities at reasonable prices during the monsoons for the public’s benefit.

Among the senior officials present at today’s meeting were Nirmal Adhikari, Director of the FCS&CA Department, Subrata Chowdhury, Commissioner of the Transport Department, Arup Deb, Sadar SDM, and other senior officials from the Food Department.
