Agartala: November 09. The Central government has notified the appointment of Justice T Amarnath Goud as acting Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court with effect from November 11, 2022. A notification to this effect was issued by the Department of Law and Justice today.
“In exercise of the power conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Todupunuri Amarnath Goud, senior-most Judge of the Tripura High Court, to perform the duties of the office of Chief Justice of that High Court, with effect from 11.11.2022,” reads the notification. He will take over the post consequent to the superannuation of the current Chief Justice Indrajit Mahanty.
