Agartala, 5th September 2026 : Agartala Public School celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm, warmth and gratitude on Saturday, paying a heartfelt tribute to educators for their invaluable contribution to shaping the lives and future of students.
The programme, organised by the students of Classes IX and X, was held at the school premises in the presence of Principal-in-Charge Sibha Prasad Bhowmik, School Secretary Arun Nath and distinguished guests Minura Chowdhury, Jatan Banik and Suman Chakraborty.
The celebration commenced with a welcome address by Principal-in-Charge Bhowmik, who highlighted the significance of Teacher’s Day and the crucial role teachers play in guiding, inspiring and nurturing young minds. He warmly welcomed the guests, teachers and students.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Tanmoy Datta expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their constant guidance, patience, encouragement and support.
A colourful cultural programme followed, showcasing the talents of the students through melodious songs, energetic dance performances and expressive recitations. Several students also delivered speeches reflecting on the importance of teachers in both academic and personal development.
One of the highlights of the celebration was a special felicitation ceremony, during which teachers and distinguished guests were honoured with bouquets, flowers and tokens of appreciation. The gesture reflected the deep respect and affection students hold for their mentors.
Addressing the gathering, Bhowmik appreciated the efforts of the students of Classes IX and X in successfully organising the programme. He encouraged students to respect their teachers and remain sincere, disciplined and dedicated towards their studies and future aspirations.
The distinguished guests also shared their thoughts and extended warm wishes to teachers and students on the occasion.
