Agartala, 10th  February 2026 :   Teachers of Joratoli JB School in Banshtali village, under the jurisdiction of ADC Bishramganj IAS, have publicly voiced serious concerns about the unsafe condition of their institution. Headmaster Uttam Kumar Debbarma, along with teacher Shanti Rani Tripura and the entire teaching staff, addressed the media to highlight what they described as a “burning issue” affecting students’ welfare.

The teachers alleged that the school has long been in a severely dilapidated state. Despite repeated appeals to administrative officials and higher authorities, no effective action has been taken. Left with no alternative, they turned to the press to draw attention to the matter.

According to their statement, the school’s ceiling has been in a dangerous condition for years. During the monsoon, water leaks through, disrupting classes and creating an unsafe learning environment. They warned that the ceiling could collapse at any time, posing a grave risk to students’ safety.

The teachers have demanded immediate repair of the ceiling and other necessary renovations. They urged the administration to act swiftly to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children’s education.
