TECC-HB raise allegations against govt for cheating people including employees and teachers

Agartala, December 30, 2022: Tripura Employees Co-Ordination Committee (HB Road) on Friday surfaced several allegations against the government in power for cheating the people by not fulfilling the numerous commitments made before assembly elections in 2018 and the teachers and employees of this state have also been cheated

Speaking to media persons at Samanaway Bhavan here, TECC (HB Road) general secretary Swapan Bal highlighted the 10-point charter of demands- 18 percent dues of D.A./D.R. of teaching staff and pensioners must be settled immediately; All types of irregular and contractual teaching staff should be regularized. Teachers appointed through TRBT shall be paid regular salary from the day of commencement of employment; The previous defined pension benefit scheme should be withdrawn and introduced; Permanent solution of 10323 teachers jobs as promised; All benefits of the Central Seventh Pay Commission should be provided to the teaching staff of the State as promised; Required number of employees including teachers, doctors, nurses should be appointed in every department including education, health; National Education Policy 2020 should be cancelled immediately; Privatization of service sector should be stopped; Fire brigade employees should be given back the right to organize. The decision to transfer teachers of private schools should be annulled. Various outrageous transfers must be stopped; and Rule of law and democratic environment should be restored in the state.
