Temple theft suspect arrested at ONGC Netaji Nagar, Amtali Police seek remand

Agartala, 14th October 2025:   In connection with a daring theft at a temple located in the ONGC Netaji Nagar area, Amtali police have arrested a suspect identified as Pichhon Mia, a resident of Charipara. The arrest was made following the recovery of stolen puja items from the temple.

Officer-in-Charge Paritosh Das of Amtali police station said that the accused was taken into custody and is scheduled to be produced before the court today, where police will seek remand for further investigation.

OC Das shared detailed information about the case with journalists, emphasizing the swift action taken by the police in response to the incident.
