Agartala, 20th February 2026 The valedictory session of the five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Bauddha Pramāṇa-Vimarśa” was held at the Ekalavya Campus of Central Sanskrit University todat at 3 pm.
Jointly organized by the Faculty Development Centre and the Department of Bauddha Darshana, the session opened with Vedic chanting, Buddha Vandana, the National Anthem, and Kulageetam.
Tashi Namgyal, Assistant Professor (Bauddha Darshana), delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Uttam Singh presented a detailed report highlighting the academic deliberations of the five-day programme.
Presiding over the session, Prof. Makhlesh Kumar, Director of the campus, commended the Faculty Development Centre for organizing such meaningful initiatives. Prof. B.P.M. Srinivasa delivered the keynote address, and Prof. Awadesh Kumar Chaubey, the Chief Guest, elaborated on various dimensions of Buddhist epistemology.
Certificates were distributed to participants by the Chief Guest and the Chairperson. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, followed by the National Anthem. The session was anchored by Dr. Nagapati Hegde.
