TET of 2022 continues tradition of advocacy for teacher appointments*

Agartala, 26th February 2024 :  : The graduates of TET 2022 persist in their tradition of collective action, advocating for the appointment of 361 successful TET 2022 candidates to teaching positions. Their daily movements and gatherings have become a familiar sight as they press for a resolution to the teacher crisis.

On Monday, the graduates gathered at Shiksha Bhawan to meet with the Chairman of TRBT, aiming to address the teacher shortage by urging the swift appointment of the 361 students who successfully passed the TET 2022. In the absence of TRBT Chairman, Pratyush, a representative of the graduates, engaged with Ranjan Dev, the Controller of Examinations at TRBT. During the meeting, Pratyush Ranjan Dev conveyed the assurance that the recruitment process is actively underway. He reassured the graduates that efforts are being made to expedite the appointment of the successful TET 2022 candidates as teachers. A housewife among the hopeful candidates expressed optimism, stating that they are confident in the commitment to a prompt appointment. The TET aspirants, in their continued movement, are putting pressure on the government to address the ongoing teacher crisis. Their unified demand is for the government to appoint the successful TET 2022 candidates collectively, emphasizing the urgency of filling the vacancies to ensure a stable and effective education system.
