Theft in day labour’s house at Kalamkhet GP; People finds drugs addiction as reason

Agartala, November 24, 2022: A theft took place at the house of a day labour Ismat Ali, resident of Murapara Mosque of Ward number 3 in Kalamkhel Gram Panchayat under Sonamura police station.

Reportedly, thief broke the lock of his house and took away gold chain and cash breaking his showcase. The owner of the house, Ismat Ali, and his wife had been cutting paddy for food all day. For little extra income, they also do the same work in the evening.

The whole day the owner of the house and his wife are engaged in agricultural work. Seeing this, Ismat Ali, the owner of the house, has become depressed.

In that area, thefts are taking place every night, sometimes ducks, chickens, rubber seats, goats and other things are stolen. The main reason behind this thefts are addiction as predicted by the common people or intellectuals.

At one time, the police personnel patrolled in the entire area. But currently, it is not available. At some point, people will leave their dependence on the administration, due to the weakness of the administration, and in that case, the social responsibility of the society will increase. However, there is panic in the whole area about this theft.
