Agartala, 20th March 2025:   Thieves have extended their activities from homes to places of worship. The Shri Shri Ram Thakur Seva Mandir in Ratan Nagar, Bishalgarh was targeted by miscreants who broke open the donation box and stole all the money along with other valuables from the temple.

As per reports, the priest conducted the evening worship yesterday and left for home as usual. This morning, upon arriving at the temple for rituals, the priest found that thieves had broken into the temple, looted the donation box, and taken away several important items.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage in the area. Local residents allege that such thefts are linked to young men in the locality who are addicted to substances. These individuals are reportedly resorting to such crimes to fund their addictions.

Residents demand that the police detain these individuals and interrogate them to recover the stolen items and prevent further incidents. The administration has been urged to take stringent measures to ensure the safety of religious sites in the area.
