Three Bangladeshi women held in Agartala  Railway Station

Agartala, 12th November 2024:   The Government Railway Police (GRP) detained three Bangladeshi nationals at Agartala Railway Station on Monday evening while they were en route to Delhi. Speaking on the matter, GRP Officer-In-Charge Tapas Das stated that the three individuals were detained at the station based on a tip-off.

“They are residents of Bangladesh and illegally entered Tripura on Sunday evening. The detainees have been identified as Hasna Hena (26) from Satkhira District, Kulsom Begum (22) from Narail, and Swapna Akhter from Chattogram, Bangladesh. We seized Bangladeshi currency and certain documents from them. A case has been registered, and they have been produced before the court,” he said.
