Agartala:, 18th June 2026 : A three-day cultural event featuring exhibitions, seminars, and various cultural programmes has begun at the Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel in Agartala under the initiative of the Bishnupriya Manipuri Social and Cultural Association.
Minister Santana Chakma attended the inaugural programme as the chief guest. The event was also attended by Alka Sinha, President of the Bishnupriya Manipuri Social and Cultural Association; Prafulla Kumar Sinha, General Secretary, along with other distinguished guests and members of the community.
The inauguration ceremony commenced with Minister Santana Chakma and other invited guests lighting the ceremonial lamp. The organizers highlighted that the event has been organized with the objective of promoting and preserving the rich culture, heritage, traditions, and social values of the Bishnupriya Manipuri community.
During the three-day programme, visitors will get an opportunity to witness cultural performances, explore exhibitions, and participate in discussions and seminars focused on the community’s history, identity, and social development.
