Three notorious thieves held, recovers stolen gold ornaments

Agartala, 15th April 2024:  In a significant breakthrough, the East Agartala police station successfully apprehended a notorious gang of thieves, culminating in the recovery of stolen gold ornaments. The operation, which followed a recent burglary at the residence of Dhaleshwar resident Amit Chakraborty, saw the diligent efforts of law enforcement officers to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Following a formal complaint lodged by the affected family, detailing the theft of valuable possessions, the police launched a comprehensive investigation. Their relentless pursuit of justice ultimately led to the apprehension of three individuals suspected to be involved in the heist.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Deep Bhattacharya (23), Deepak Sutradhar (29), and Aryan Sarkar (19). These individuals are believed to be part of a larger criminal network responsible for a spate of burglaries in the region.

With the recovery of the stolen items and the apprehension of the alleged thieves, the East Agartala police have signaled a resolute stance against criminal activities, ensuring the safety and security of the community. Interrogations of the detained individuals are expected to provide crucial insights into the operations and structure of the thieves’ gang, aiding further investigations and preventive measures.
