Agartala: September 29. Three thieves were arrested by the police of NCC police station in connection with the theft of cooking gas cylinders. According to the complaint, a person named Gopal Debnath of Khejur Bagan area lodged a case with NCC police station after thieves broke doors of his house and stolen cooking gas cylinder.
Immediately, the police started investigating the incident and were able to identify two thieves following CCTV footage. Then the police arrested both of them from their house on Wednesday night. They were brought to the police station and interrogated to find out to whom the cooking cylinder was sold. Accordingly, the police were able to arrest that person at night. Later, a cooking gas cylinder was recovered from the person. NCC police said that they will be taken to the court for police remand. The arrested have been identified as Sunil Chandra Sarkar, of Narayanpur area, Debabrata Adhikari, of Bhati Abhaynagar area and Niranjan Rout, of Bhati Abhaynagar area.
