Agartala, 5th March 2026 : The Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, is set to embark on a two-day official visit to Tripura on March 7 and 8. This was confirmed by Dr. Vishal Kumar, the District Magistrate of West Tripura.
During his visit, the Vice President is scheduled to participate in multiple official engagements. On March 7, he will travel to Matabari in Gomati District and later attend an event at Albert Park. The following day, March 8, he will be present at the 14th convocation ceremony of Tripura Central University and will also attend a program for “Lakhpati Didis” at the Hapania International Fairground, where he will meet participants and review their exhibits.
Ahead of the visit, authorities have finalized all arrangements. A high-level meeting was held on Thursday at the West Tripura District Magistrate’s office with district officials, where security measures were extensively reviewed. The DM emphasized that comprehensive safety protocols must be in place. In addition to security, administrative preparations are being carried out to ensure cleanliness and smooth management across Agartala.
The Vice President is expected to move by car between venues, and a strong security presence, including paramilitary deployment, will be maintained throughout the city during his stay.
