TIPRA working against constitutional norms: Rebati

Agartala: October 18. The Bharatiya Janata Janajati Morcha (BJJM) today alleged that the TIPRA Motha is not functioning and working according to constitutional norms in TTAADC

Addressing a press conference this evening, Lok Sabha MP Rebati Tripura today said TIPRA is now ruling the TTAADC and recently the party and the supremo Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma has given so many promises.

“People living in TTAADC hoped for good days. They (TIPRA) have promised to work for the development of tribals, for over all development of TTAADC but it has been 1.5 years the party has came into power and the situation which is prevailing is very dangerous and tensed. They have no confidence or trust over Constitution and they have no mentality to work following Constitution for which the situation is becoming tougher. They had taken many steps against the constitution”, said Rebati.

He further informed that on June 01 of 2022, Girish Chandra Murmu Comptroller and Auditor General of India has written a letter to the Governor of Tripura Satyadeo Narayan Arya and in that letter the official said that TTAADC administration is not working according to the constitutional norms and the fund given to various schemes to them is not being spent properly. Therefore, the Governor has been asked to take appropriate action.

“In view of this, the Deputy Secretary to the Governor has sent a letter to the Chief Secretary of the State. Later the Chief Secretary has sent a letter to the Chief Executive Officer of TTAADC on the issue. But even after years have passed, the TTAADC administration has not taken any action. They are not maintain the accounts”, the MP alleged.

Rebati further alleged that the TTAADC administration has recently appointed people to fill up various vacant posts and there have been massive irregularities in the recruitment of those people.
