CM inaugurate first ever government English medium college in state

Agartala: October 18. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday has inaugurated first ever government English medium college in Kunjaban of Agartala.

While inaugurating the first ever government English medium college, CM Dr Saha said, “I am very much proud and honoured to be here to inaugurated first ever government English medium college in Tripura. I would like to tell you that to start a college is a very difficult task. I also served a professor in Tripura Medical college and still remember my experiences when medical council of India came here and before they come how we have manage to fulfil their requirement. I know how this education department have so many hurdle they have to cross to start this college. For now this college has been set up in a miniature form and in coming days it will develop”.

He claimed that it is not an easy matter to start any institution but because of Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath and hard work of education department they have started initiated this kind of institution.

“We know that education is the boon of the society and without education one can’t go ahead. Without knowledge one can’t go ahead and so proper education is necessary. Without English competing other students of the county as well as students of aboard will be tough. English is very essential for us. We have English medium colleges but this is for the first time government has started first English medium college. Our government is working for the upliftment of education”, he added.
