Agartala, October 18, 2022: The job aspirants of Group-C and Group-D conducted by the JRBT in August last year staged agitation in front of Directorate of Labour here on Tuesday. The aspirants demanded to publish results and complete the process within November next or else urged the government to witness the death of the job-seekers.

Speaking to reporters here, one of the job aspirant Amit Basak said that the JRBT conducted the examinations of Group-C and Group-D on August 20 and 22, 2021. Almost 14 months passed off till today, Board is silent to publish the results. In the state assembly, Education minister Ratanlal Nath informed the house that the results will be announced soon. Till now, no initiative from the end of Board to publish the results.

“The JRBT officials seemed to be above the Education minister as they are reluctant to publish the results of Group-C and Group-D. The tenure of JRBT is going to end in November next. As the elections are scheduled to be held early next year, results publication will be stopped and no one would bother about us. But it’s worthy to mention that one lakh twenty one thousand candidates appeared for the examinations. The government would be incurring a huge loss if our matter is being taken lightly”, he added.

Learning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in state, Basak said “We are appealing to the Chief Dr Manik Saha to publish the results of examinations and complete the process within November or else, grant the appeal of voluntary death or shoot us to death on the city streets.”
