Agartala, 28th July 2025: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) staged a demonstration today outside the Agartala Municipal Corporation accusing the civic body of failing to address basic public needs and alleging widespread corruption in infrastructure projects.
TMC leaders highlighted issues such as the poor condition of city roads, incomplete drainage systems in several localities, and the lack of access to clean drinking water.
A party spokesperson stated that instead of solving residents’ problems, the corporation had imposed new taxes, prompting the party to voice strong opposition.
