TPSC rejects job aspirants’ plea to postpone main exam

Date:

Agartala, 10th April 2026:  The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has turned down demands from job aspirants seeking a deferment of the upcoming main examination for recruitment to the Junior Engineer posts under the R.D. Department.

Today, a group of candidates submitted a deputation to the TPSC Chairman, urging that the exam schedule be pushed back. They argued that after the preliminary results were declared, only 42 days remained before the main test, which they said was insufficient for thorough preparation. The aspirants requested at least three months’ time to prepare.

However, TPSC officials clarified that rescheduling the examination was not possible, effectively rejecting the plea.
