Agartala, July 2, 2023: The Kailashahar sub-divisional administration has announced to the traders on Saturday to relocate their shops without making alternative arrangements. The sub-divisional administration has fixed 24 hours for this. The businessmen of Unakoti District Hospital area at Kailashahar are fuming with anger.

It is learned that 22 shops will be demolished in front of Unakoti District Hospital without notice, the administration has made miking because many shops have been built on government land in front of the district hospital. If the shop is not removed within 24 hours, the administration will take action as per law. After this miking, the small traders are suffering from panic.

Speaking to media personnel on Sunday, the traders said that the administration can demolish and remove the shops from the government premises, there will be no hindrance. But for them alternative arrangements of administration have to be made. The traders also said that the number of people in the family of 22 traders is about hundred. If their business is evicted, this family will die in starvation.

Therefore, the businessmen have made a humanitarian appeal to the sub-divisional administration that the sub-divisional administration should arrange business establishments in alternative places for them.

Now it is to be seen what action is taken by the administration. But from the legal point of view of the administration there are rules to make alternative arrangements first. The administration cannot do any coercion before this. It remains to be seen which way the administration will walk.
